My name is Raquel. I am 27 years old. I have been working with children for the majority of my life. As a teenager, babysitting, working at an art camp, and currently working in an Infant Toddler classroom (first as an assistant teacher and now as a head teacher) for 8 years. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have my CDA (Child Development Associate). I have been to multiple early childhood development training's, workshops, and conferences over the past 8 years. I have also worked with children with special needs and development delays. I build strong relationships with my children and their families and partner with them in achieving the goal that they have for their children. I have also assisted my sisters with caring for their children from birth to school age. I am a very responsible and organized person. I have conversational Spanish speaking skills (not Read more entirely fluent). I am trustworthy, warm, caring and truly just enjoy interacting with children. I believe in play based learning which is what I practice in my classroom. I love singing songs, being silly, and being affectionate towards the children, but also understand the importance or routine and consistency. I also cared for children in orphanages around the world, while I was on an 11 month mission trip. I am ready to leave the school and classroom environment for a more intimate environment. I love the idea of now being able to really focus on one child and really giving them that one on one attention that I could not do as much as I wanted to in a classroom setting. I have a drivers license, I am able to swim, and I am flexible for traveling. I am looking for a full time live-out nanny position with weekends off. I hope that I can meet your needs.
