My name is Sofia. A bit about myself, I've always enjoyed being around children and seeing their growth and reach different milestones at a certain age. Ever since I was a little girl, I've always wanted to become a teacher and developed a passion for working with children. I first started babysitting a family friend's son, who at the time was 6 months old, and saw him grow until he attended school at approximately 6 to 7 years old. While I was babysitting the boy I learned so much with him, as well about myself. I have seen many milestones, improvements in speech, and growth. Throughout my time babysitting the boy, we created a strong bond, and the family felt at ease and trusted me to care for their child. Once I entered College I decided to work at a daycare to gain experience as a teacher and work with Read more multiple children. At first, it was a challenge that I accepted and accomplished my goals as well as the parents' goals. I enjoyed teaching them and seeing how the children helped each other in the classroom. We loved and enjoyed our circle times and reading times. I created plans in advance to engage the children in a fun and entertaining way to do all the activities. Freeform art was very important in my classroom, I would always decorate the classroom with their artwork and write the details of the art. The children felt included in the classroom where they can express themselves through child play or engaging with teachers.
