I have been a caretaker for kids from the time I was a kid myself! I am the oldest of five children and I had the honor of helping my single mother raise my four wonderful little siblings. I knew my work wasn’t done there, so as soon as I turned 12 years old, I begged my mom to take me to the local Red Cross so I could get my official babysitter’s license. As I walked out of that building, clutching a small piece of card stock noting my accomplishment, I felt an enormous sense of pride and purpose. From that moment on, I became the neighborhood babysitter. After I finished up at school, where I would stay late to tutor other students, I would rush home to help care for my siblings. Then when my mom got home from work, I would go to other people’s houses and Read more spend time watching and playing with their kids - from infants to pre-teens! I accepted my first real nannying job when I was 18. Between semesters while I was in school, I cared full time for three gorgeous little girls. I started watching them when they were just 5, 3, and 9 months and I was able to watch them grow for a few years before moving to New York!
