Meet Evelyn

The majority of the last 14 years were spent as a Stay At Home Mom, with pockets of part-time positions. Now that my son is older (14), he is more self-sufficient with his daily responsibilities, which gives me the opportunity to work full-time. Looking for work lately, I have continued to gravitate towards a nanny position. Although caring for children will always bring it's challenges, it also brings out so many wonderful aspects and experiences. I have tried to raise my child to have a "good old fashioned childhood" all these years, but still give him the benefits of today's technology. It is a balance. It is a challenge-- some days more than others, but it is worth the effort. Every summer for the last 5 years, I run a week-long camp out of my home, which includes my son and a handful of his out-of-state cousins. We fill our Read more days with swimming, hiking, paddle boarding, games, arts & crafts, golf, bonfires, biking, boating, and movie nights to name a few. We are all exhausted by the end of the week, but it's the good kind of exhausted! Making childhood memories like that is so very important to me. And I know that stems from the amazing childhood I had-- filled with all of the above, and so much more. A big part of my allure to be a nanny is selfishly the fact that I get to be a kid again myself-- by participating in whatever activity it is that we do together. Life has so much to offer, and childhood is so fleeting. I would just love for the opportunity to help keep that childhood spirit alive for as long as possible!
