I am a full-time, experienced nanny. I started working in childcare about 10 years ago, working at an after school program in a middle school. I spent an extensive amount of time working with middle school children, whose parents worked late during the school week. I did homework with them, got to know them as both a group and individually, provided them with snacks and played games with them. Eventually I became a full-time nanny, and have worked for 3 different families, whose children were between the ages of 2-5 years old. My experiences working with these families have been incredibly positive, as I have found childcare to be an extremely rewarding career. My position as a nanny has been valuable because I always learn something from children, just as much as I teach them. I am responsible, reliable, dedicated, calm, nurturing, organized and tidy. I am a good listener, and I enjoy teaching children new, useful skills. I have also had experience living and volunteering in Thailand as an english instructor, teaching children between 6-12 years old how to speak english, in addition to caregiving. I am also a certified yoga instructor, and have done yoga with children before as well. I also like to read with kids, and enjoy teaching them how to read and write. I encourage healthy eating habits and spending time outside.
