Hello Families, I've had great experiences working as a nanny 20+ years. My most recent family I started when the 1st born was just under 3 months. I was with them from 2019 to 2024- both girls were going to school full time. I have exceptional, extensive experience caring for children from newborn to 6 years old. I have worked with multiples, twins, special needs as well as assisted with medical care (nebulizer, colostomy bag, sick days, feeding tube,Dr. appointments, etc.) I was also a NYS Certified teacher (daycare/preschool) for over 3 years. I truly love being around kids and watch them grow. I try to incorporate learning experiences into everyday things (counting number of food items/toys we are playing with, saying the color of items being used/seen, reading the signs we see along our walks and such). I incorporate the kids' interests in the daily activities to keep them Read more entertained while learning as well. I enjoy seeing/teaching a child something new. I incorporated sign language, starting with the little ones, to allow them to talk before they have developed their speech skills. Also, to help encourage them to reach their important early milestones, I do: tummy time; reading; lots of music -sing/play along; sensory toys; mirror play; help with hand-eye coordination and such. I love music and doing arts and crafts, especially for the holidays. I enjoy the outdoors and going for walks, beach picnics, parks, zoos (Ecology Center is the best) and making use of the local library or even pet/local stores (when the weather keeps us indoors). I have no problem speaking further if care for your pets is needed as well. I'm a big animal lover. I have two rescues- a dog and reptile. I would like to also mention that I held a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) as well. The experiences along with BLS/CPR/AED certifications have allowed me to be fully prepared to handle emergencies calmy and efficiently. My certifications expired in 2022. I held them for over 20 years and have no objections if I'm needing to renew. I feel that I am pretty flexible and I like to be up front and look for that in the family I work with. I feel open communication is a good quality, for both sides, to help things run smoothly. I have enjoyed becoming a part of the families lives and I am hoping to find that again. I have great letters of recommendation and references. Thank you for your time and I wish you luck in finding the right person for your family
