I am a college graduate with a passion for working with children and babies; molding to reach their full potential. I worked as a babysitter for a young boy while he was 6 months to 3 years old, in addition to caring for my 9 month old niece since she was born. I have also had experience working at Hope Valley Elementary School in Durham, NC. There I obtained my BSAC (Basic School Age Care) Certificate in addition to my American First Aid Certificate. There I worked with children grades K-5th teaching, developing, playing, and feeding them. I also volunteered as a Mentor at Hope Valley Elementary School in Greensboro, NC. I had a fourth grade mentee who was outgoing, vibrant, intelligent, but who struggled in math and had ADHD and ADD. I encouraged her and set measurable goals for her to achieve on a bi-weekly basis. We worked on Read more her math skills, homework, and preparation for reading tests. We also had a great time on the playground with her friends during after-school care! I try to implement a great balance of education, structure, organization, and fun!
