Originally from South Carolina, I moved to NYC after completing a Master's degree in Counseling/Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse, a private women's college in Spartanburg, SC where I served as a Resident Director to a building of approximately 100 undergraduate students. I am an organized, friendly, caring, patient, reliable, responsible, and diligent individual who loves living in NYC! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, visiting history museums, travel, cooking (I come from a large Italian family, so I also enjoy eating!), and service. After receiving a Bachelor's in history and foreign language and literature, I served in a program similar to the Peace Corps called AmeriCorps for 2 years. I am a non-smoker and refrain from drinking alcohol though I have no issue being in social settings in which others are enjoying those activities. As far as experience working with children, I am Read more grateful to have 15+ years experience as babysitter and nanny. I enjoy teaching, caring for, and laughing with children! Cared for children of all ages, including children with developmental issues such as Autism and ADD/ADHD. My most recent nannying experiences have included caring for a 1-year-old while in NYC and two boys aged 5 and 8 while pursuing my graduate degree. My background in counseling at the WestGate Family Therapy Institute has expanded and strengthened my experience not only with children and families, but also as a creative problem-solver. Additionally, I have extensive training and experience in emergency situations through my service experience with AmeriCorps and my recent employment experience with Converse.
