My name is Emily Lorman, and I currently work as a full-time nanny for a family with four young children, ages two through seven. I have been employed by this family for nearly two years, and am in good standing, but ready to make a transition. I’m 23-years-old, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Catholic University of America. I’m preparing to return school, to pursue a degree in nursing. I have worked with children in a variety of settings, for many years. I have been a full-time nanny throughout high school, and, while attending Catholic University, I worked through DC Reads, tutoring elementary and middle school-aged children. I was a Team Leader with DC Reads, in charge of my fellow tutors, leading instruction in both reading and math. Likewise, I also was employed as a math and statistics tutor for my peers while studying at Catholic University. I Read more also have past experience working as a camp counselor, and lifeguard at a sleep-away camp. There, I was responsible for the care of fifteen girls, ages 12 to 13. In the past, I have been CPR and first aid-certified, and I am more than willing to become certified once again. I am a contagiously happy, optimistic person; I love staying active, being on my feet, and spending time outdoors. I am very patient and loving, and I fully invest myself, and take great pride in the work I do. I am an organized, timely, and responsible individual.
