I have over ten years of childcare experience. I started babysitting at the tender age of fourteen. Then, I looked after children between the ages of 4-9. With limited supervision, I nurtured and cared for children, changed diapers, taught basic language and math lessons, and organized as well as took part in leisure activities such as games, outings ,and exercise. I continued this work for two years before taking a year-long break. I resumed my work with children at 17, volunteering at St. Matthew's & St. Timothy's Day Care Center as a Volunteer Teacher's Assistant. Working with children between 3-6, my main responsibilities consisted of discussing assigned duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts, preparing lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations, supervising students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, and gymnasiums, or on field trips, and tutoring and assisted children individually or in small groups. After Read more the 6 month experience, I have continued to babysit children (ages 4-13) periodically for different families where I did all of the above as well as doing light cooking, performing light housekeeping and errands running tasks, and handling pet care duties.
