Hi, I'm Sophie! Hailing from British Columbia, Canada, I recently graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University with majors in Dance, Education, and Modern Jewish Studies. I conducted my senior undergraduate research on the ability of dance and arts education to empower children and create young leaders. When not dancing, I spend my time teaching private dance lessons as well as teaching at the Mark Morris Dance Center for students ages 3-18, and tutoring students in both general academic and Jewish Studies/Bnei Mitzvah preparation. I love the process of discovery and learning in young people, and as a nanny/babysitter, I enjoy playing with, chatting with, and embarking on creative projects with children. I am fully vaccinated, compassionate, and very energetic, and in my free time, I like to bike, hike, and cook!
