Meet Paola

I am a 26 year old nanny with 7 years of experience in childcare. I worked for 4 years in a daycare setting and was in charge of multiple children. I worked with children from 2 months old to 5 years old, but the main age groups I worked with were infants and toddlers. I also earned the trust of many families and children during my time at daycare, and I would babysit for many families on weekends and weeknights. After four years of working in daycare, I moved on to being a nanny. I have been a nanny for the past three years for both infants and toddlers as well. I love what I do, and I not only love taking care of children, but teaching them as well. I studied Early Childhood Education at The East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa, Arizona for two years. My program Read more was fully focused on the development of children from birth to age 5. This has been a really important and useful part of my career in childcare. I have learned how to help foster the development of little minds. I learned all about developmental milestones and how to help children reach goals for their age. I love working on developmental milestones with them and doing fun activities that I can also use as teaching opportunities. I read, sing, do puzzles, crafts, and outdoor activities with children. I also love to teach children through exploring the world around them. I schedule playdates, take them to museums, parks, classes and anywhere fun we can find in the neighborhood. The activities I do with children come with the goal of helping to develop their gross motor, fine motor, social/emotional, language/literacy, and cognitive skills.
