Hii I am Olivia and I have 5 years of childcare experience. I started working with kids my freshman year of high school by babysitting and volunteering weekly at my church's nursery. I took child development electives all throughout high school and eventually got offered a position as an intern at the preschool across the street. In my junior year, I worked as a teacher's aide at the preschool where I learned how to apply all of my knowledge from child development plus some fun teacher skills and approaches. Once I graduated I worked as a nanny for 3-year-old twins for about 3 months until they went full time to preschool. I then was referred by the twins' parents to a family of 3 children who was looking for a nanny. In this family, I worked with a 1,3, and 5-year-old who I eventually had to leave after 6 months Read more when I recently moved to New York City. I love teaching through nature and art and believe teaching kindness and empathy is very important. When I was a nanny we spent a lot of our day at the park. I was also responsible for the morning routine, lunch, nap time, and housekeeping. I genuinely love working with kids and am full of energy that I use to create games and play with them. I love showing children how to solve their own boredom without technology and believe that kids should safely and respectively just be kids!
