Hello! I am a retired ballerina and mom of a 7 month old girl. Together with my husband, we live on the UWS. I am passionate about child development and natural parenting. Over the last 10 years, I have devoted much of my time to researching child development and parenting practices to support optimal behavioral and cognitive wellness is children. The objective is to set them up for successful and fulfilling lives. I have learned that cognitive function and development is correlated to emotional stability, and this is the basis from which I make all parenting and nanny decisions. Every decision, interaction, and word is done with empathy and love. As a mom and Nanny, I am passionate about using every possible method to support the complete health of babies and children, and I do so unreservedly with my whole heart. I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Read more Dance Performance from the University of CA, Irvine. This educated me in kinesthetic awareness and anatomy. This has translated beautifully to infant care. Their sweet little bodies need correct positioning and support as well as strength building. I am educated in infant babywearing as well as elimination communication, both of which came naturally after my ballet background. I have found that both of these methods minimize infant stress and support the natural process of learning about the world outside of the womb. I am happy to include these practices as part of my nanny job. If you have any questions about these, please ask! I am comfortable assisting with the transition of mom returning to work. That is a delicate time, and deserves an immense amount of support and love. If I can support by providing breast-feeding, baby wearing, and gentle attentive care, I am open to discussing whatever provides comfort to both baby and mama.
