I'm a New York City native, having grown up in suburban New Jersey and in Manhattan. I grew up with a handful of nannies over those years, some live-in. A passion of mine throughout my life has been music. Often those nannies would accompany me to choir rehearsals, etc. I did a lot of extracurriculars as a child, including singing in the Saint Patrick's Cathedral children's choir, and the Saint Ignatius of Loyola children's choir. I later went on to LaGuardia High School at Lincoln Center, and then I got a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (i.e. classical singing, opera) from Juilliard. I graduated in 2019. Since 2019, I've been freelancing as an opera singer, a choral singer, and as an art handler in galleries and museums in New York City. I'm a proud uncle (one sister with a 12-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl, another sister with an Read more 18-month-old girl), and I have ample experience with childcare. I’ve been caring for my (older) niece and nephew whenever my sister and brother-in-law have been out of town. They live in Upstate New York, so I drive the kids to their soccer practice, take care of the family dog, cook meals, and make sure that they don’t deviate too far from their routine. I enjoy cooking as a hobby, so I have the capacity to make a proper meal, or also to just whip up something simple. I am bilingual (english and spanish)-- I’d estimate my spanish level at about a B2, approaching C1. I grew up around the language and culture, and so I have a deep connection to the spanish-speaking world. I’m actively taking lessons and preparing to take my DELE exam to demonstrate my proficiency, and to have the capacity to work in both english and spanish at a high level. As an opera singer, I have an ear for languages and I sing in English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German. I believe it’s important to support kids in developing a healthy self-image, developing a strong moral backbone based on evergreen principles, establishing good habits from a young age, establishing good communication skills, and above all, I value leading by example as the best way to set children up for success in life.
