My name is Maren, I am 24 , originally from Houston Texas, and a recent graduate from Manhattan School of Music with a Masters of Music degree. I am a coach/consultant for Coach Your Craft as the music theater/opera coach. That job is flexible to my own schedule so I am still available for part time work as a nanny/babysitter.  I have been babysitting since I was 13. I really have a gift for communicating with kids. I can always gain respect and yet maintain a fun atmosphere with them.  I work with an organization through Hope For NY called Caperneum where I work with special needs kids on a weekly basis. I love working with special needs kids and have, now, sufficent experience with different types of needs and personalities.  I am an excellent cook! I cook all types of cusine, and would be happy to share my knowledge with your children if they are interested! I also am a pianist, singer, actress, and dancer. If your children are interested in those things Im happy to share those passions with them as well.  I'm great at creating fun games with kids, being a kid at heart myself, its not so difficult to come up with something that'll get their creativity going! I love art and enjoy painting, that's often a fun project I do with kids.  I can also help with homework, I find I have the patience for that sort of help.  I speak a moderate amount of Italian, french, and spanish. My philosophy: A child needs to have fun, learning, and creativity in their lives. But it can be offered in a structured way without chaos!
