Hello, my name is Laura Ly Rodriguez and I just turned 31 years old. I am CPR and first aid certified. I went to John Jay College and majored in history and minored in art, but I have always had a passion for working with children of all ages. Those who know me personally, often say that I am patient and have a talent for working with children. It gives me so much joy to put a smile on a child's face and I really love getting to know each child that I have worked with. I am currently taking an online course to pursue my dream of beginning my own family daycare. As my resume says, I have spent many years volunteering my time and working with different families and last year for about 7 months I was working full-time taking care of a young toddler until her mother retired. As of recently if I am either studying to be a daycare owner and/or caring for animals (while their owners go on vacation) or siblings (for date night). While I believe that there are a lot of great childcare providers out there every family needs something different and I believe that because of the variety of experience that I have, that I would be a great candidate for your family. Best Wishes and happy holidays!!!

Laura babysat for my baby when he was very young, and she was absolutely wonderful. She is always punctual and incredibly reliable, which gave me a lot of peace of mind as a parent. I trust her completely with my child, and that kind of trust is priceless. She regularly sends updates while she is babysitting, which I really appreciate. It is comforting to know how things are going and to see that my child is happy and well cared for. Laura is also very creative when it comes to engaging children. She finds fun activities to keep them entertained and stimulated, and she is very patient and attentive. On top of that, she is helpful around the house. She cooks and keeps my child entertained at the same time, which is not easy to do. You can tell she genuinely cares about the kids she looks after. If I could, I would keep Laura with our family forever. We truly love her and feel so lucky to have had her help with our child. I highly recommend her to any family looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable. ?

We hired Katie a couple weeks ago and she was wonderful! She engaged so well with our kids, playing with them throughout the evening. She handled bedtime beautifully, getting them settled down and reading them a story before sleep. Katie was reliable and the kids really enjoyed having her. We'd definitely hire her again!

I have extensive experience working with infants, toddlers and children, especially with ages 3 months to 6 years old. I spent 6 wonderful years in my hometown as a camp counselor in the Great Neck School District. I also had the amazing opportunity to be an early literacy specialist for the Parent-Child Home program, an international network of program sites that provides low-income families with the necessary skills and tools to ensure their children thrive. Lastly, I spent a fun year working at a daycare, taking care of infants ages 6 to 18 months. I’m fluently bilingual in English and Spanish. Current Certifications include: Wilderness First Responder, CPR Certified (Adult and Child), Epinephrine Auto-Injector certification. Availability starting August 2026: I am available on Tuesday’s and Friday’s from 9:00am-8pm and into the later evenings. During the rest of the week, I am available starting at 5:30pm. I am also available on the weekends with a 1 week's advance notice. Thanks for taking the time to read and I hope you to hear from you soon! Warmly, Freda

Hello, I'm Kayla! With over 15 years of experience as a professional childcare provider, I take pride in my role as a loving and dedicated Auntie-like caregiver. My educational background includes a BA in Family & Consumer Studies from CUNY Queens College, which some might call Home Economics, but it has been invaluable in my caregiving journey. Being born and raised in Queens, NY, particularly in the Forest Hills neighborhood, has allowed me to develop strong connections with families and children. I firmly believe in adapting to the unique needs of each family and child, which has been crucial in forming and maintaining strong relationships. My attentiveness to their well-being is second to none, and I actively encourage them to be kind to themselves and others. Caring for every member of the family unit comes naturally to me, and I also have experience working with ASD children and other special needs. During my care, I prioritize the physiological well-being, safety, and security of the children. Nutrition is essential, and I ensure that they receive nutritious meals tailored to their dietary requirements. Safety is paramount, and I hold certifications in Basic Life Support training in case of emergencies. My ultimate goals while providing care are to foster love and a sense of belonging in the family, as well as promoting self-esteem in the children. For fun activities, I enjoy narrating books and engaging them in readings, participating in video games (even if not my first choice) to empower them to take the lead, and exploring arts and crafts. Trips to the park with friends and playing sports are also some of the enjoyable moments we share together. Regarding homework, I understand that it's not always a favorite task, but if parents want my support in enforcing a homework schedule, I'm more than willing to assist. At home, I encourage them to play their favorite tunes and enjoy music as a form of entertainment because, after all, music is awesome! In addition to my childcare expertise, I'm currently transitioning my career toward a nursing degree. This means I have some flexibility in my schedule, allowing me to work occasional hours during the day, evenings, and weekends. I'm excited about the opportunity to serve your family and create a safe and nurturing environment for your children. Wishing you a Happy New Year 2026, the year of the Horse, is sure to bring joy and happiness. Take care and be well!

I can’t say enough good things about Kayla! She watched my daughter three days a week while I worked from home from the time she was 6 months up to a year. I got an instant good vibe from Kayla and that grew into a trusting, fun and invaluable relationship. She played all kinds of music for my daughter, danced with her, helped her work on her balance while she was learning to stand and just all in all made her feel safe and loved. We were so sorry to lose her when we moved out of town. I cannot recommend her highly enough, she’s the best :)
