Hi everyone! I'm Anna, I've always loved caring for and educating children. I have my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I grew up in a big family with 11 siblings and over 20 nieces and nephews!! So caring for children has been a natural part of my life. I've worked with kids of all ages, but most of my professional experience is with 12months to 5 years old. I student taught at Hill and Plain elementary for the preschool. I led activities ranging from story times, music, and movement, to various art and sensory projects. My focus was always pushing curiosity and of course giving them a safe space to do so! Some activities I really enjoy doing with children are getting outside and going to the playground and parks, the library, sensory play, teaching shapes/colors, arts and crafts, and how to navigate their big emotions. Outside of work I'm big into health/fitness, visiting friends and family, reading and trying new things like restaurants or hobbies!

When I was 12 years old I started helping my aunt with my little cousins and from there my experience with children grew. In high school I organized birthday parties for small children at a sports center. From there I worked at a day care teaching children ranging in age from infancy to school age, responsible for four to 10 children at a time. It was there that I fell in love with a family and became their nanny full time. At the time I started with them they had three children, ages 6 months, 2 and 4. With the family I was responsible for organizing their daily activities, driving them to preschool, activities, appointments, play dates, etc. Two years later I rose to the challenge as the family had another child. It was then that my organizational skills, my patience, and my passion for taking care of children expanded. I was not only a baby sitter for these children but became a member of their family. Hello parents! My name is Azia and I'm 28 years old. I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist and have over 10 years of experience working with and caring for children. The age ranges I've cared for is 2 months to 14 years old. When caring for younger children, I engage them in imaginative play, teach the the basics such as sight words, colors, numbers, etc., help them with emotion regulation, take them to the park, library, etc, read to them and anything else that made them happy/ the parents would like me to do with them. When caring for older children, I take them to their extracurricular activities, assist them with homework, offer them a listening ear (if they're interested), and anything else they may need help with.       I have been a nanny for over 14 years and in that time I have had several wonderful families and the most amazing children to love and help nurture.. and I hope to continue that journey with children.   My experience has shown me that children always want to explore and learn from birth, and even during pregnancy they are learning, so I feel as a care giver that to allow them and help them explore and create in an orderly environment in their formative years, will help them to become more diverse people as they get older, and help them to be able to look outside the box as life comes upon them with sometimes challenging problems.   During a childs infant stages I try to provide as much love and security as the parents, lots of singing, holding, laugh, reading, and outside walks. As they get in to toddlers stage they are learning their independence from us and so as they explore I help with sign language and other tools till the words come. At this stage stimulating all the senses is key for good development of their imagination. Laughing and playing with a child is best career I could ask for and to help a child enjoy and grow happy is a blessing   My goal with any family is always be a loving and safe extention of the parents and to keep good and open communication lines with you.
