Hi. I am a retired speech and language therapist and now work babysitting so that I can help my two grown children with college expenses. I prefer babysitting to other types of employment as I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I have worked as a full-time nanny and also as an occasional babysitter, providing childcare for a number of families as needed. Many of my babysitting families have one or both parents who are medical residents at Strong Hospital. They have been very happy and comfortable with the care I have provided their children (many of whom are babies). I have also worked for two different pediatricians. I babysat for two years on Saturdays for the autistic son of an eye doctor who worked Saturdays. I have excellent references, available upon request. I am patient and kind, reliable and responsible. I like doing all of the things young children enjoy doing: reading, playing games, play-doh, coloring, etc. I'm not much good at video games but I have played various games on wii. I am capable of preparing meals if necessary and love to engage children in food preparation when appropriate. Kids love me. I am an experienced mom and teacher and can handle anything that comes with being with children. I do not have a dependent relationship with my cell phone so would not be distracted from your child/children's care by constant texting. Please consider me for your babysitting needs. Thank-you.
