Hello! I’m JoJo, an experienced, dependable and warm caregiver who has worked with families and children in New York and New Jersey for many years. I’ve cared for children from infants through teenagers, my most recent for more than three years with one family in Closter, NJ. My childcare experience also includes substituting with toddlers and preschoolers at Riverside Church School and working with infants through pre-kindergarten at Bright Horizons, where I was invited to become a permanent teacher. I’ve also taught after-school art. As a former Manhattanite and professional artist and ballerina, creativity has always been a big part of my life. I love bringing that creativity to children through art, imagination, play and activities that keep them engaged. For the past six years, I’ve also served as President of the Piermont Civic Association, organizing children’s programs and community events and leading a team of volunteers. Connecting people and Read more creating a sense of community is something I genuinely enjoy. I’m responsible, energetic, patient and communicative, with a good sense of humor. I have a clean driving record and understand that when I’m driving children, I’m carrying someone’s most precious cargo. I’m also an animal lover and foster and pet-sit when I can. I’m looking for a childcare position of approximately 10 - 20 hours per week in the Rockland County/Bergen County area, with some flexibility in days and hours.
