Good morning Lacey, My name is Lori and I live in Plainview. My kids are grown so I have all the flexibility in the world. In fact the last position I held was the same split hours which worked well for me as I could get some of my own things done in between. I love children and find it very rewarding caring for and watching them grow. I've been a professional nanny for 20 years. I've had 3 families during that time who had, 7,4,and 2 children. I have stellar references, am fully vaccinated, have First Aid / CPR Certification, am fine with a background check, clean license and a new car in case the children have activities they need to go to or if they'd like to go to the park etc. I would very much like the opportunity to interview for the position. I am a team Read more player and prefer to work with the parents by following their style of parenting. I do believe in reprimanding children when necessary, but with love and understanding. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN HITTING CHILDREN. I'm not the kind of nanny who uses a TV to babysit the kids because I would much rather involve the children in activities and arts and crafts to stimulate them. I love to read to the children, and afterward involve them in an arts and crafts activity based on the story. I've found that the kids really like that too. I am reliable and dependable and since I am close to you would be able to be there in the drop of a hat should an emergency arise. I love to cook and bake, have no problem with doing laundry or tidying up, and am willing to shop for supplies when needed. In all my years of working, I can count the times on one hand that I have called off sick.
