I provided childcare for a family in my town beginning when I was 13 till I was 17. Initially I would watch the two children (an infant and a toddler when I began) while the mother did work in another room. I continued to do this over the years as well as adding in babysitting once I was a bit older. I have had many other babysitting jobs over the years, taking care of children ages ranging from infant to approximately 11 years old. Another unique childcare experience I've had is helping at a family night at Mt. Hope Family Center in Rochester, NY where I spent time with kids who have Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. This was an incredibly rewarding experience. I still babysit when an opportunity arises.
