I am a 33 year old toddler teacher with a 2 year old of my own. That right there shows how much I love children :) My days are filled with singing, dancing, crafts, dress up, ABC's, 123's and lots of other fun/education activities. I have worked in the daycare field for approximately 5 years. I have worked with children anywhere from 3 months old to 5 years old. Kids bring joy and happiness to my heart, I am a nurturer through and through. And although I love working in daycare I would really love the opportunity to devote myself to one special family, Having a child of my own has made me realize how difficult it is to find quality childcare. It is so difficult to trust someone with your most valuable gift! I have my associates degree in Early Childhood Education as well as many training hours on subjects such as transporting children, childhood obesity, SIDS, etc. Not to mention First Aid and CPR certified. I have done private babysitting jobs for many of the families in my classes as well as worked for family members. I value a child's need to just be a child. I think its highly important to build children up and support them in every way possible. I have great fun doing various activates with the children in my care as well as with my own son. I love arts and crafts, sensory related activities and music. I believe that reading to children at a very young age in highly important in establishing a love of reading. Which will help later down the line when book reports come into play :) I am really just looking to provide my care and love to one special family.
