Hello, parents or other caregivers. My childcare experience spans most of my life. I grew up in a family with 5 younger siblings, in a neighborhood of many children of various ages. This involved a great deal of babysitting as a teenager. As an adult, I earned a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. Eventually, I had two children of my own--a boy and a girl (who turned out perfectly, of course!) While they were young, I provided daycare in my home for one or two children at a time. Recently, I "retired" from a nanny job that entailed almost six years with one family. I am now looking for a part-time position, for which I will provide the enthusiasm, responsibility and dependability that is a hallmark of my services. My philosophy in a nutshell: Safety first! Then, mental health and life readiness. Children deserve to know they are loved and Read more they deserve to enjoy life. When old enough, they should learn rules of social interaction and learn to participate in the tasks of the household. I love to share books, face-to-face play, learning through experiences, and music. I love children and they know it! I have passed background checks, and I can provide references when appropriate.
