When my children were young, I was a Nanny 4 mornings a week for a little girl from the time she was 2 months old until she was 3 years old.  Her mother would bring her to my house in the early morning and pick her up around 12:30 pm.  This was a paid position that I absolutely loved. I also taught religious education in my home for elementary aged children for 5 years. I not only taught religion, but I incorporated arts and crafts and games into the lessons to hold the children's attention and make the learning process more interesting and fun. Currently, I have a full-time position with a local family. I have been with them since 9/2017. My main charge is their 3 year old son for whom I have been caring since he was 9 months. Prior, I worked for another local family caring for their Read more son from 3 months old until 2 1/2 years old. My duties as a Nanny include playing indoors/outdoors, reading, doing arts and crafts, puzzles, coloring, and going for walks. However, I also keep the kids' rooms clean, do their laundry, prepare breakfast and lunch, keep their playroom organized at the end of the day. I also do some light housework, emptying dishwasher, keeping kitchen in order. I raised 2 children of my own who are both very responsible and successful adults with lives of their own. I believe I was born to be a child caretaker.  I think that as adults, we can learn so much from children.  They are very intuitive and smarter than we give them credit for.  I am kind, caring, fun-loving, creative, and friendly. Having the privilege of spending time with a child is treasured time and something that remains in my heart always.
