Hi there! My name is Emily P, I'm a full-time nonprofit worker looking to pick up some childcare work in addition to my day job! I was a nanny for years after graduating college before starting my current job, and I'm super excited to get back into it! Some of my other previous job experiences include: program and outreach intern with a youth centered nonprofit, an accessibility and equity intern, a student helper at Northampton Parents Center, a mentor at ReadertoReader, various customer service positions, and babysitting/tutoring in middle/high school. I'm also very active in the performing arts, and I've been doing it since childhood and have continued on with it as a hobby! I love having the opportunity to use arts education with the kids I watch, as I believe music is super beneficial to people of all ages! I also do a lot of leadership work, whether it's Read more as a musical director, an orientation leader, a student mentor, or as a publicity/business representative for campus organizations. People consider me to be a really welcoming and friendly person, and I'm known for being really positive and encouraging. I alway stay patient when working with kids (or anyone really), and I really like being able to brighten a kid's day while also helping them learn!
