I was a "stay at home mom" (if there really is such a thing) for 2 daughters for close to 20 years, along with volunteering in their schools & outside organizations. They are now grown & I now have the total pleasure of being with my 5 year old grandson. I'm an active, creative, energetic, very nurturing "young" 63 year old who has the experience & knowledge to help teach & create with your child/children. For the last 4 years I was a Nanny for a family that has a 4 ½ year old son and a 9 year old daughter. Many times I stayed with the kids overnight while their parents traveled. They just moved back to NYC to be near family, which has been hard on all of us! I have also had 2 other families whose kid’s ages were newborn, 1, 3, and 4. Even though I Read more have loved all the families, because their schedules & needs have changed, it requires me to look for something new. For 11 years before Nanning I was an Assistant Manager in retail. During that time, I also had a garden design business. I am extremely organized. Both of my daughters are now teachers, so if tutoring were needed, they're available.
