Hello. My name is Heather, I am 28 years old and I am a single mother to a 10 year old daughter named Emily. We are originally from Tennessee and just moved to Ohio July of 2013. When I was about 13 I began babysitting and have been ever since. I would watch neighborhood children and some of the children in my Sunday school class at church I attended growing up. Whenever we would come to Ohio to visit family on vacation, I would also watch my younger cousins so that my family could go places and spend time together and once my baby sister was born in 2001 I would watch her after school so my mother and step father could work. I would also keep her on weekends so they could go out and spend time together when they needed and liked. I watched her up until she Read more was 7 years old. I would have continued to watch her, but my daughter was born in January of 2005 and my mom and step father ended up moving about 20 minutes away and my mom said she would find someone closer so I wasn’t always bring my little one out whenever it was really hot or really cold. When my daughter turned 3 years old I started working at Walgreens and I released myself from the company July of 2014. I love children and would really love to begin babysitting again. I also do pet care. My whole life I have been around animals. I grew up on a farm helping my grandfather take care of cows, pigs, chickens, cats, dogs, bunnies, and we also had a pond full of fish. The main jobs my grandfather gave me was walking the dogs, feeding and watering them, and making sure they where bathed once a week. I also was given the job of bottle feeding the calves when they were born. As I grew older, friends of the family around my town and some of their friends would rely on me to dog sit, cat sit, rabbit sit and take care of their other family pets while they were away on vacation or business. I would really love to start helping with animals again. I have 2 dogs myself. I have a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix and a Pug. Unfortunately I was unable to bring them with me to Ohio and my grandmother and grandfather agreed to keep an eye on them until I find a house that allows animals. My favorite of was my Dalmatian Pongo. He passed away in 2008. He was a member of my family for 15 years and I miss him every day. I think being around animals and helping will help me cope better with not being able to have my to dogs up here with me.
