Hello, my name is Angie Hambel, I am 42 years old and I have 2 boys. My oldest son is 15, and my other son is 12. My mother started a daycare center out of our home when I was 10 years old, and she still continues to babysit at this present time. So, I have been around children of all ages for many years! My moms first baby she started watching was 6weeks old and I couldn't put that little angel down. I held her as much as I could and loved watching them all. She watched them from about 6 to 8 weeks old and up to when they started school, and then she would have them all back during the summers when the children was on summer breaks. So, that was the best time for me because we always would have something planned for everyday during the Read more work week. We usually would go to the swimming pool almost everyday, or take them to the parks, or just anything that was fun for all them. So, thats how I found the love for taking care of children. Then later on in my life I have done a variety of employment. I worked as a surgical scrub tech. on a labor and delivery unit from 1991 thru 2003. Also with that job, I got to be right next to the doctors assisting them into bringing new lives into the world which is a beautiful blessing. I have worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities taking care of elderly people that needed help with all activities of daily living, bathing, cooking, light housekeeping, running errands for them. Taking them to their doctor appointments, or wherever they needed me to take them. I also worked in their homes with the individuals to prevent their families having to place their loved ones in nursing homes. So, I have worked with children of all ages and then I have taken care of them when their older and not able to care CPR and First Aide certified last month in August of this year. I just love helping people no matter what age they are! I enjoy making anyone of any age able to have a brighter day and to make them smile. I love the toddler age because that is when they are so curious and into every thing they can get to! Their learning to make new words, and learning that they actually do have a mind of their own and that makes them thrive and start to being so curious with almost everything! When their around 2 to 3 years old that is the most important time for them. heir learning to speak, and walking, and start using their own fingers to eat with which is so much fun watching and teaching them some of the most important teachings!
