I am a licensed nurse and have been nannying and caring for children of all developmental and physical levels since 2004. I began my journey as a camp counselor at Recreation Unlimited, a camp for children and adults with varying developmental and physical abilities. I continued as a nanny for three young children while I studied to become a nurse. As a nurse I have worked in the nursing home and home care settings. I prefer working in the home with children so I can give them more one-on-one care and attention. I love being outdoors as much as the weather permits and going to parks, libraries and museums. As a nurse I am also CPR, first aid certified, and carry references. I have been an active member of the National Honors Society as well as won several academic awards over the years, including first place in the state level Read more science fair in 2002. Before I became a nurse, I participated in a research course at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and was selected and involved in Buckeye Girl's State, robotics and engineering courses and camps at the Ohio State University and enrolled in the chemical engineering program at OSU. I grew up in a family of doctors, nurses and physical therapists, as well as my sister has also worked as a nanny. I greatly value education and believe in life long learning. I am currently learning Mandarin and French, though I am a beginner. I attended a Spanish boarding school when I was younger and developed a sensitive ear for learning pronunciations, so I am hoping this will aid in my foreign language progression. My native language is English, and I would be more than happy to work with your child on developing speech, language and reading. I am excited to continue to meet and help out new families in home care and nannying and learn more about your family! I am available to begin working right away. You can respond to me on here, by my email, text or phone call. I hope to hear from you soon!
