I come from a large and close extended family, so I have been helping to care for children my whole life. As I became a teen, I started to babysit for neighbors and family friends. Through college I was a Nanny for two girls ages 4 and 7 who were cousins. I began working in a full time management role after college that gave me weekdays and mornings free to babysit for friends and family members once again. I have experience with all ages from newborns to teens. I also have experience with twins at all ages as well. I get a lot of energy from being around children. I treat each child as a special individual with their own strengths and interests. I take the time to learn about their interests to be able to play and teach them in a way that will reach them. I enjoy crafts, Read more make believe, structured games, board games, educational games, reading, tutoring, playing outside, and sports practice. I love engaging children to learn and have fun. I also respect the desires of parents. Each family has its own philosophies and values. I am careful to stay within those parameters while with your child(ren). I will be mindful to respect the wishes of parents when it comes to discipline, education, activities, and schedules. I think it is important to discuss these topics at the initial interview to ensure that there will not be expectations that I cannot meet. I also cook and clean if needed. I enjoy making tasty and healthy meals, but can also make quick food as well. I am happy to help clean around the house during nap times.
