Hello my name is Jocelyn Roach. I am currently a lead Pre-K teacher, I graduated from Youngstown State University with my degree in Human Ecology, specializing in Pre-Kindergarten Education. I am the oldest of 5 siblings and at 13 became chief cook and bottle washer when my mom became a widow, and had to work full time to support our family. I have been a lead teacher for all age groups starting at 6 weeks old up to my current group of 4-6 year olds. I am energetic, creative, and a strong advocate for play based, hands-on, child directed learning. I love reading to children and believe it is essential from the moment they are born. I enjoy making play-doh, and baking/cooking with the children, we recently made homemade salsa in my class for Father's Day, and the children did about 90% of it themselves!
