I am relocating to Chicago in the next few months to pursue my graduate degree. I am looking for a full-time, long-term childcare position. Currently, I am a PreK teacher in Columbus, Ohio. Previously, I worked as a staffing and recruiting manager and then as a recruiter/researcher for a well-known executive search firm. I decided to switch paths and took a job as a teacher at a private preschool, where I have worked for more than a year. My responsibilities include teaching reading and phonics, generating new material/methods to aid learning, creating engaging games and activities, supervising safe play, establishing safe and happy environments and behaviors, communicating with parents in order to work to meet individual needs and/or concerns and administrative and housekeeping tasks as needed. My coworkers would describe me as a natural leader and successful at multitasking. I would add that I have a strong report with both parents and children. I am responsible, mature, hardworking but also fun and playful. I would be a valuable addition to any family. I began my childcare experience at a young age as a babysitter. I babysat my younger brother and the neighborhood girls. Since those early years, I have worked with families and children with disabilities and behavioral disorders, such as ADHD, Autism, Epilepsy, neurological disorders and learning disabilities. I am certified and in both CPR and First Aid. I am available full-time and flexible to work around any schedule.
