I Love Children and Animals!! And apparently sensed, because they run straight into my arms or onto my lap wherever in proximity! I became a sitter, as a teen, for a number of local families. During this time, it may be helpful to know that I was the nurse’s aid at my high school’s dispensary, where I was trained to attend to students in events of first aid emergencies. Even now, I’m experienced in taking vitals and am AHA certified in CPR. Children hold the future in their hands and the keys to a bright future through tenderness and understanding. For this reason, patients come naturally to me with them, and it is necessary when effectively communicating. I enjoy providing guidance in ways that are fun, interesting and memorable. I have cared for several infants throughout my life as well and am delighted to share that my experiences were a great pleasure! From testing milk to the right temperature to positioning properly for digestion and carefully yet securely holding so as to protect baby’s head are just a few necessary nuggets as well as attentively administering to baby’s comfort. Infants may not have developed a vocabulary as yet, but it is fairly easy to understand their needs and to get to know their unique personalities. Caring for children is a responsibility that I take seriously, with the highest of standards, and with great pleasure. I aim to bring parents, as well as their children, the comfort and assurance that I will care for their cherished treasure as though they’re members of my own family.
