I worked at an Assisted Living as a caregiver/resident assistant for nearly seven years, taking care of every single need the elderly can have. Unfortunately, dementia can severely hinder mental capabilities and this is something I had to work with each and every day; having around twenty people under my responsibility, to assist from the smallest things to tasks such as eating, bathing, changing clothes, etc. Though I have worked more extensively with the elderly, I also have babysitting experience from throughout the years with all ranges of ages, as well as a brief period for a few months that I helped watch and teach preschoolers in Sunday school.
