As the youngest of five children, my home growing up was always filled with laughter, kids, books, and adventure. This is where my passion for children began. From 7th grade onward I babysat and volunteered for children's ministry at my church. This allowed me to gain experience with special needs children, as well as those with medical restrictions such as Celiac's Disease and Type I Diabetes. Though I am currently a college student studying to complete my Bachelor's of Science of Nursing to become a registered nurse, my end goal with that is to work in pediatrics one day. Even as I attended school this past year, I missed the joy of working with kids. I was hired to work as a before and after school tutor and classroom aide at the local elementary school. I loved the relationships I was able to build my with my students and the Read more variety of stages of childhood I experienced by working with grades K-6. It could be challenging at times, but thats what kept it interesting! I have been CPR certified, undergone background checks and finger printing, and have a clean driving record. As a cleanly person, I am capable with housework and don't mind keeping things tidy! I love reading, crafts, trying new things, animals, and the outdoors.
