Hi! My name is Amelia Sigman and I am excited to start my career as a Nanny! I am graduating from Miami University this May with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Nutrition and planning to relocate to North Carolina this summer. My concentration in psychology has been in the field of development with a specific focus on child development. I absolutely love kids and have immensely enjoyed my four years here at Miami! This past summer I interned with Children’s Hunger Alliance as a Nutrition and Physical Activity Educator. I had the amazing opportunity to create lesson plans and teach kids about the importance of physical activity and healthy food. I had the best summer playing with the kids and helping them make snacks! I worked with children between the ages of 0-14 so I learned how to adapt activities for kids of various ages. At Miami Read more University I am employed as a Resident Assistant (RA) where I work with first year college students and help them adjust to college life. I am their resource, confidante, and mother-type figure when they need one. Coming to college is a big change and I am here to make their experience the best possible! I have experience babysitting through my middle school and into my high school career as well as working with the children that come visit our family business. My family raises and sells goldendoodles, labradoodles, and double doodle puppies and I help the children learn how to care for their new furry friends! I absolutely love all pets and would be happy to work with a family with animals. Growing up on a farm has taught me a lot about hard work, responsibility, compassion, and dedication. I am a very reliable and bubbly person that wants to make a difference in peoples lives. I love to cook, bake, and do crafts.
