Hey! I am Valerie. I live in McConnelsville, Ohio. I recently got married to my best friend, Ryan. I have a burning passion for children that I acquired at a very young age. At Kindergarten graduation, you know how the kids say what they want to be.. I said I wanted to be a babysitter. At that point we as children really don't know what we want to be, but thats my burning passion and I knew thats what I was destined to do. So, in high school my freshman year, I was asked by some one who I look up to if I would like to help her with her in-home daycare! Of course I said yes. It was really an opportunity of a lifetime. I spent the summer helping her with toddlers and a brand new set of twin girls. it was like I was in a dream, Read more I loved every minute of it. After doing that, I knew I had to keep persuing this dream of being a babysitter. I then decided I wanted to try cosmetology, so I went through the 2 year program to get my cosmetology license. But, then decided very quickly that really wasn't for me. So, after graduating high school, I went to Hocking College to study the Early Childhood Education Program. I have one year of my degree under my belt. While I was doing my first year there, I had practicum class where I went into a kindergarten classroom and really got to see the ends and outs of how a classroom is run. My mom has been a Kindergarten teacher for 16 years, I so knew a thing or two going into that classroom. I was a teachers kid, I knew what it was like and I loved it too! This past summer I watched a 3 month old little boy and that I found out was my ultimate dream to take care of babies. Babies are my passion, completely! I am so happy that you have read my story!
