I've been married for 38 yrs and have 2 married sons and 2 teenage twin sons in college. We have a little 6 yr old terrior mix dog we got from a rescue. As a mother of twins, I am a member of the NorthEast Ohio Mothers of Multiples club and much of my babysitting experience has been caring for other families that have had twins/ triplets in addition to other siblings at home. I am experienced at handling homes full of babies, busy preschoolers as well as elementary/middle school age.  I have cared for several families with just one child. I am a nonsmoker and do not swear. My number one priority is the safety and well being of your children. I will feed and clean up after snacks and meals, pick up toys we play with, messes they make, etc. I am there to focus on the children, Read more not be distracted by tv, phone, internet, texting, etc. (although I do know how to do those things!) I like arts and crafts, games, reading books, and yes, playing video games. (But Minecraft makes me too dizzy!) I do not really care for pets, but most families I work for have them. I am more of an animal tolerater than animal lover. I can handle bugs, worms, and small spiders, but not birds. I have saved the life of a goldfish when the cat knocked the goldfish bowl off the counter. I enjoy cuddling babies, having children sitting in my lap, playing down on the floor and listening to them say the darnedest things. I can play indoors and outdoors (warmer than 25*F). I respect your household routines and rules and strive to maintain a consistent set of expectations for your children. I have loads of experience working with kids, as a mom and caretaker, a childcare worker for MOPS groups, a Sunday School teacher, I've organized and supervised mission group activities for middle school students, volunteered at Vacation Bible School, volunteered weekly in an elementary through high school lunchroom, and have helped moms get everyone out of the house and to places they needed to be when they seemed overwhelmed to go alone. I respect each home and have the children follow their family's traditions and/or belief systems. I myself worked outside the home for 16 yrs while raising my older sons. I know the value of a reliable, dependable caretaker and make every effort to provide you with that care. I know how it is one less worry for your family when you can count on your caretaker.
