Hello! I'm Carrie, I've been married since 11/11/11 :) and have a 15year old daughter and an 8 year old little boy. My experience working with children stated when I was a teen. My father is a Pastor so my mother would often be tending to the kiddos in the church nursery. I was always helping my mother with the children. Throughout highschool I babysat alot. After graduation I went and played volleyball at YSU for a year Basicly undecided about career a choice. The following year I decided to become a Firefighter/Paramedic. I earned those certifications from Stark State. During this while time I'm still babysitting:) I loved being a medic and found it to be rewarding, however it took a toll on me emotionally. I decided to break from that and went back to my love for helping kids in a different way..playing and teaching them. I then Read more worked at Portage Learning Centers as a teacher assistant. While working here I earned my CDA- Child Development Associate. I worked with them for about six years. I had the opportunity to be a stay at home mom and I am absolutely grateful for that time. Now that my two little youngins' are getting older, Im looking to jump back out there and help other children grow and thrive and just be a kid while they can. I hope to impact their lives not only educationally but also as a mentor/friend/caregiver.
