While in the Navy and after, while married to a sailor, I attended school. I achieved an AS in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Liberal Arts, Psychology/Sociology. Childcare was a good field for someone who moves every 4 years. As a Preschool Teacher, I attended Montessori and CDA classes. While stationed in Panama, C.A., I was able to Substitute teach for Dept. Of Defense Schools for Dependants. Here in Portsmouth, Ohio, I worked as a Case Manager with the Children and Family program at Shawnee Mental Health Center. I enjoy the variety that is experienced in working with Children from art to music to reading or field trips to the library or the park.
