Hi! I’m Lauren and I’ve been working in childcare for over 15 years now! I started working as an infant teacher for a few years, worked with special needs children for a few years as well as being a private nanny. Eventually I went back to center based care and was an infant teacher again before being promoted to an administrative assistant role for Primrose Schools. Soon after that, I found myself in a director position at AcademyOne Childcare & Preschool in New Albany and was there for a few years before moving into another director position. Most recently, I ran my own in-home childcare for about a year before moving and I’m currently looking for a new adventure. I’m a single mom of two, ages 12 & 6. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and watching Netflix on cold winter days with my kids. In the summer Read more months, we spend a lot of our free time at the pool! I am the child of an educator and have always known that the care and early education of children was my passion. I love building trusting, personal relationships with the families and the children I care for. I take great pride in providing excellent care for little ones. I love doing crafts, teaching developmentally appropriate material, going on fun outings to places like Momiland, the library, COSI, Franklin Park Conservatory, exploring local parks and playgrounds and allowing kids to learn organically, by providing them opportunities for free play and doing things that interest them. I believe providing childcare is one of the most important and rewarding jobs out there and am looking forward to meeting new families to provide care for!
