I enjoy engaging babies in play, encourage exploring sounds (vocalizations and word development), listening to fun or soothing songs, encourage learning by talking to them and describing their surroundings, assisting them physically as they grow and become increasingly mobility, helping them try new foods, and having fun together. I can prepare bottles, (whether fresh or frozen breastmilk or formula), feed and burp the baby, change diapers, soothe fussiness, settle the baby for sleep times, swaddle (or not), change the baby’s clothes as needed, and give baths and even trim those tiny nails if requested. When the children are older, I can prepare their meals. I enjoy taking them on outings to places like library story times, the Science Museum, and parks. When the time comes, I can do school drop off and pick up as needed, supervise swimming, help with homework, and plan occasional play dates. I am a professional battery changer and am pretty good at bike and toy repairs too. I’m currently getting re-certified in First Aid and CPR. I am dependable and honest. Hello! My name is Leah and I am a 22 year old who recently graduated from Ohio University! I studied Sociology/Criminology and have an interest in working with children in the system. I have babysat since I was 16 years old. Two of the main families that I would babysit for had 4 children each ranging from the ages of newborn-7 years old. I also babysat newborn twins weekly!
