Nurturing children as they grow and learn is my greatest passion. I bring a patient, kind and fun approach to childcare. Over 15 years of experience caring for children have solidified this calling. My favorite ages are newborn to preschool age. Ideally, I hope to find a position that will be long-term. I’ve working for new parents, single parents, work from home parents, going through divorce parents, and “we just need help for a month” parents. I welcome feedback from my employers and am comfortable with nanny cams in the home. I have been a nanny to several newborns, and I really love seeing them discover the world and grow right before your eyes. If a diary of the baby’s day is something the parents want (sleep time and duration, volume of milk the baby drank, time of any bm’s, etc.), I prefer to do that on an app. Whether Read more following a set feeding and sleep schedule or the baby’s cues, I honor the parents’ preference. I can provide parents with regular updates via texts or phone calls or follow the their preferred communication method. If I have any questions or concerns, I will ask. I enjoy engaging babies in play, encourage exploring sounds (vocalizations and word development), listening to fun or soothing songs, encourage learning by talking to them and describing their surroundings, assisting them physically as they grow and become increasingly mobility, helping them try new foods, and having fun together. I can prepare bottles, (whether fresh or frozen breastmilk or formula), feed and burp the baby, change diapers, soothe fussiness, settle the baby for sleep times, swaddle (or not), change the baby’s clothes as needed, and give baths and even trim those tiny nails if requested. When the children are older, I can prepare their meals. I enjoy taking them on outings to places like library story times, the Science Museum, and parks. When the time comes, I can do school drop off and pick up as needed, supervise swimming, help with homework, and plan occasional play dates. I am a professional battery changer and am pretty good at bike and toy repairs too. I’m currently getting re-certified in First Aid and CPR. I am dependable and honest. I look forward to bringing my trustworthy experience and love for children into your home and helping your little ones thrive.
