My name is Shelby and I grew up and still live in a small town in Oklahoma! I have been a reoccurring babysitter for many families in my area over the past 6 years. I was a nanny for 1 year when I was a senior in high school. I have experience with children with special needs including autism and deaf-blindness. I was also a teachers aid for my high schools special education class so I have experience with Down's syndrome and dyslexia. I am very familiar with diabetes care and I am familiar with many types of medicine. I was a pharmacy tech for two years. I have experience caring for a range of ages including infants to pre-teens. I was in band and choir for 6 years and I think the arts are so important! I love crafts of all kinds whether it be painting, mod pod-ing, sewing Read more and so on. I know American Sign Language and will soon begin the journey to get my interpreting license. A new language is such a fun way for kids to learn! ASL is also a wonderful way for baby's to communicate with you at an early age and I would be 100% willing to teach any child of any age! I am a Christian and my faith is very important to me. I taught children's church at my church for over 2 years before leaving for university. I love animals of all kinds so if you have them, they will surely recieve some love from me! I cook, clean, do laundry, give baths and I LOVE to bake! I have my own car that seats a total of four people. I have a perfect driving record. I have never been pulled over or ever been in a wreck of any kind. I truly care about helping kids grow and learn and becoming standing citizens. My goal in life is to care for others in any way possible and I am at a point in life where I am able and willing to help a family care for their kids!
