I’ve worked in many different capacities in child care and ministry starting in 1988. As a teen I owned my own babysitting service which branched into nanny work. As a missionary in Mexico I was in charge of all the children’s ministry for our organization for 5 years. From there I transitioned to being the Nursery Pastor of a large church for 4 years, I cared for all babies 3 years and under. I had a private in-home daycare for 2 years and then became a teacher at a small private school. I taught kindergarten and first grade for 1 year and then I taught pre-k 4 for 1 year. My next job was at a large Mother’s Day out program where I was the teacher for the 2 year old class. I then decided to stay home with my own 3 children to homeschool them. My oldest has graduated Read more and now has a family of his own. I still homeschool my 2 younger children. Working with kids just comes very naturally to me, I am very naturally patient and my default attitude is kindness and happiness. My favorite age level is pre-school as I love to introduce basic learning concepts in a fun, hands-on way and see them making connections in mind and thought.
