Hi there! I'm Tatum! I just recently graduated from college with a Bachelors in Science in Early Childhood Development and a minor in Spanish. During my time in college I worked with kids at a childcare facility at an athletic club and through babysitting. I also studied abroad and worked at a daycare and summer camp with children in Ecuador last summer! Most recently I was a preschool teacher at a private school in the area! Before that I was a student teacher in a Head Start preschool and created lesson plans and classroom activities as well as tracked students' development through observations and other various methods. I absolutely loved working in a classroom and have mostly studied / experienced play based education settings that I feel truly support those early formative years! Due to my classroom background, I really love helping out with schoolwork and getting kids involved in Read more activities that are not only engaging but also help encourage healthy development (ex: not as much screen time, more hands-on activities!). But, I also know that every family has their own routine! I'd love to find a family to work with part time to full time, with children anywhere from 6months to 8 years old, as I have most of my experience in childcare within those ages! I am CPR and First Aid Certified and have been background checked as well as enrolled in the CBR in order to work in a classroom. I also have my food handlers permit and trainings in Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety and Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect, Safe Sleep, and more. I love all animals, I have NO problem cleaning / cooking / running errands / etc., and I do have my own vehicle.
