Hi my name is Pamela and I’m currently working as a teaching assistant for a private school in Lake Oswego. In my classroom we have 8 children, ages 17 mos. - 2.4 yrs. I have been working in some capacity with children of all ages since 2004. I have two adult daughters ages 32 & 36, and a wonderful husband of 40 years. We do not have any grandchildren yet, but I am blessed! I’m interested in a nanny position for 1 child of toddler age and would be open to another child at a later date. I am loving, fun, patient, kind and can be a bit silly! It has been a privilege to see the world through a child’s eyes. I am also firm, consistent and dependable. I believe in the Montessori method of teaching and would like to incorporate this within your child’s personal space and other Read more areas of your home. Please look up Montessori schooling for more information. I would like to work M-F, 7:30-3:30, and 4 weeks of vacation yearly. Vacation dates would be throughout the year. I cannot work in an unkept environment as I am very clean. I am willing to prepare light meals for your child, do their laundry and clean up. Most of this we would be doing together when appropriate. I will not engage in television or phone use, unless necessary during the day. I believe in practical life, nature and art. We would be exploring the outdoors daily rain or shine. I am certified with the state of Oregon regarding fingerprinting, background check and required yearly professional development. I am certified in adult & pediatric CPR, First-Aid and Food Handlers requirements for the state of Oregon. I am fully vaccinated for Covid with up to date boosters as well as the flu vaccine. I have no negative points on my drivers license and I believe I’m a safe driver. I’m interested in this change in my life right now because I want to downsize the responsibilities as I am getting older and of course to not have a daily commute! I would be able to start at the beginning of the new year after giving at least a 2 weeks notice to my current employer. Thank you kindly in advance for your consideration.
