Hello! My name is Maisie and I am a patient, loving, and conscientious care provider with nine years of experience. Respect is the number one thing I try to embody in my approach to care, and I strive to balance professionalism and warmth while providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children I watch. I have worked with kiddos ranging from birth to 12 years old in a variety of contexts including public schools, garden and outdoor education programs, homework clubs, and private daycares, but most of my experience is in private, in-home care with 0-5 year olds. I am CPR and first aid certified including infant-specific protocols, and have completed doula and newborn care trainings. I have a bachelor’s degree from OSU in Spanish, where I also completed 3 years of the education program which has helped me develop a strong research-based approach to support the development of Read more the children I watch. In addition to Spanish, I also use basic ASL to help facilitate pre verbal communication. I love gardening, animals, the outdoors, art, and cooking, and try to incorporate these things into planned activities as well as spontaneous play. I am committed to screen-free care and have a particular passion for kids books; I have many of my own and love to bring them to share!
