Hi my name is Margot (silent T) and I have been working in caregiving since i was certified with the Red Cross as a Super Sitter at age 11. (I'm 41 now.) =) I have my own reliable transportation and clean driving record and background. I have plenty of experience with babies and children of all ages and abilities. I have spent time working with developmentally disabled people as well as the elderly and animals. I'm just a nurturing person all around and am looking for the perfect fit for a long-term relationship with a local family. Ideally, I prefer a weekday shift of approximately 4-5 hours and am fairly flexible and able to accommodate. Because I spent 3.5 years taking care of mom at home after she got Alzheimer's, I have missed working with children. I appreciate the lightheartedness and curiosity they bring to each day. Screen time is best used in moderation for education and relaxation, as long as the main focus is on personal human connections and learning real communication. My background is in Montessori preschool, liberal studies and holistic nutrition as well as multicultural education. I am a level 10 of 10 on the Portland State University's Oregon Registry Online for Early Childhood Educators.
